We believe that Western classical music should reflect the diversity of the communities in which it is created and performed. Central to our mission is dismantling the myth that all significant classical compositions are the work of "dead white men," isolated in a vacuum of singular genius. 

String Assembly is a fiscally-sponsored affiliate of InterMusic SF, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to small-ensemble music in the San Francisco Bay Area.
