Ignatius Sancho Project: Summer 2020

Musicians will record all of Ignatius Sancho’s dances on historically informed baroque violin and cello. Recordings will be paired with original choreography and performance by black dancers from the San Francisco Bay Area community. The finished performances will be shared for free online.

We believe in the power of representation, and supporting our artists in enterprising ways. Our traditional venues and modes of performance have become unsafe, but the power of the arts remains.
